Comcast mobile App now available on iPhone

Comcast Corporation, the largest U.S. cable company in terms of subscribers, announced today of a free mobile application on Apple’s App Store that lets you read your Comcast.net email, check your Comcast voicemail, read home phone logs, browse Comcast TV programming, and watch trailer videos for Comcast On Demand features. The full experience of the Comcast mobile app is available as an added benefit to Comcast Triple Play and existing SmartZone customers with an iPhone or iPod touch.

comcast mobile appCritics have been quick to compare between Comcast’s mobile app vs. DirecTV’s app where the former yet does not allow to program your DVR from iPhone, which the later does. Comcast advocates assure the feature is already on the works and will be in the future release.

Apple announced earlier this week that its customers have downloaded more than 1.5 billion applications from iPhone App Store — “the largest applications store in the world” - opened for business.
